Stephen Brookfield on a creative and a critical
thinking
“Teachers is like a good cat burglar, who can enter into
classroom and very quickly work out what´s going to be valuable”. Mr. Stephen Brookfield seems very interesting is
how an educator with power and authority over you can give you bad news that
you didn´t want to do. However, you do it. It´s because the person who made it in a way which
feels supportive, creativity and a critically. Critically and creatively informed
action meets the conditions, based on evidences and experiences justified, it
is seem from multiple perspectives.
Mr. Stephen Brookfield pains a critical thinking to
student’s process by which students become aware of the assumption that frame
the way that they think and act. Because our decisions, actions or our
judgments choices in life are based on sets of assumptions that we have about
critical thinking.
Additionally, the only reason you do critical thinking
is to prepare you to take actions that are more informed, it
would be through a creatively thinking, because the person who is
creatively is able to view ideas and practices from multiple viewpoints, also
is able to communicate their thinking through different ways like visual,
graphic and kinetic way.
Kind of assumption can be cause and effect that
support a sequence of events, preventing the events that should happen, using
the common senses.
One of the problems with critical thinking is when
people try to use all the term, use these with different point of view or
understanding, because sometimes you will find people who contract and deconstructing
hypothetical and deductive arguments.
What is the most helps your students to think
critically or creatively?
Students develop capability in critical and creative
thinking as they learn to generate and evaluate knowledge, clarify concepts and
ideas, look for possibilities, consider alternatives and solve problems.
Critical and creative thinking involves students to think in a general and
deeply way using skills, behaviors and dispositions such as reason, logic,
resourcefulness, imagination and innovation in all learning areas.
